March for Life gets my support | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

February 13, 2013 · Updated 9:05 AM

To the editor:

The moment I read Mr. Olsen’s Jan. 18 letter calling on our representatives to join him at the March for Life event in Olympia, I expected the usual diatribe directed towards him.

Predictably,  Mr. Burkholder didn’t disappoint.

This year’s March for Life, the annual pro-life rally protesting abortion referenced by Mr. Olsen, marked the 40th anniversary of the 1973 Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade.

Mr. Burkholder suggests that Mr. Olsen and other conservative Republicans, like myself, are “out of tune with changing values” and should “get out of the dustbin … or be left behind.”

Well, if “evolving” and changing with the times require me to accept the murder of over 55 million innocent unborn babies since 1973, then I will gladly stand with and support the hundreds of thousands of people who attended the March for Life. Murder is murder.
