PSE adds eyesores to Bainbridge roadways | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:
As one can see as they walk or drive down Sportsmen Club Road or New Brooklyn Road or Bucklin Hill Road on beautiful Bainbridge Island is the ugliness that PSE has turned the shoulder into! Where once were trees and greenery is now a border of buried concrete boxes with steel tops protruding from the ground. They are surrounded by old gray bark chips and straw rolls. Nothing will grow back to cover up these eyesores!
Now PSE has decided to start this process on the waterfront road Eagle Harbor Drive. Go to the intersection of Bucklin Hill and Eagle Harbor Drive and imagine a grouping of concrete boxes lining the waters’ edge of the road toward Eagledale.
This project begins in a few months. Please complain to the city and PSE and everyone who demands common sense in unnecessary improvements! Oh what beauty man can destroy!
I hope when PSE comes to your neighborhood and sells you the idea of beatification that you stroll past there other tries.
