Let’s keep what makes Bainbridge so special | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

August 29, 2012 · Updated 10:05 AM

To the editor:

Three cheers for M.C. Milton’s letter (New development is what we don’t need).

Is the city council going to let Bainbridge Island become Renton, or Auburn, or Issaquah or (everytown)? We don’t want a “Bart-smells” selling Chinese toys, makeup and street-living wine, or a “Runny-nose” pizza. What’s next? “Blubber-king,” “Upchuck-cheese”?

There is a reason Bainbridge has the reputation of being the idyllic place it is. It has NOT been (so far) “califorinacated.” Can we not please keep it that way?
