Rude drivers are to blame for flow problems | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

August 24, 2012 · 8:35 AM

To the editor:

The traffic problem at the ferry terminal is not the taxis — it’s a “flow” problem.

I’ve been driving my husband to the ferry for 15 years, and the current traffic problem results from rude drivers who stop at the bottom of the hill to let their inconsiderate passengers out in front of the coffee kiosk, obstructing the flow of traffic and inconveniencing everyone else behind them. This is an occurrence I see just about every time I’m at the terminal.

If drivers just moved forward toward the motorcycles (where my husband exits our car), and dropped off their passengers, traffic would move more smoothly.
