Letters to the Editor

Hansen is a rock-solid choice for 23rd District | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:

I have known Drew Hansen for about 10 years, and continue to learn things about Drew that convince me he is a person I am proud to support for public office. His values are rock solid and consistent, and his many professional and volunteer efforts revolve around protecting and uplifting both people and the environment.

Drew walks the talk, and you get what you see and more: His parents and education prepared him for a career in law and public service, which he pursues with characteristic upbeat passion.

Drew has been busy locally, county and statewide volunteering for such things as the Olympic College Board, school levy campaigns, and the state economic development board. Drew’s many volunteer efforts have focused on education, job creation and skill development, micro loans for small business entrepreneurs, and bringing an engineering program to Olympic College. All began well before he was appointed to fill a vacant seat in the Legislature, which is now up for election. He somehow juggles work, husband, father, and volunteer, and makes time to help with the cooking and gardening at home. These days find him all over the county, where he has already knocked on more than 2,500 doors in an effort to meet the constituents he has pledged to represent.

When he knocks on yours, you might get to meet one of his kids (a first-grader and a toddler), or even his mom or dad or wife Julie; doorbelling for Drew Hansen has become a family affair!
