Forbes will make an outstanding judge | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:

I write to support Jennifer Forbes' candidacy for Kitsap County Superior Court.

I have known Jennifer for over 10 years, first as a prosecutor and later as a fellow criminal defense attorney. Jennifer is a gifted trial attorney who cares deeply about the impact that judges have on the people who appear in front of them.

Jennifer is highly regarded by the Kitsap County legal community. She has been endorsed by 17 Kitsap judges, including Judge Karlynn Haberly, who currently occupies this seat. She is also endorsed by Justice Steven Gonzalez. Jennifer's qualifications have also been well recognized by the minority bar associations. She is the only candidate with more than one "exceptionally well qualifed" rating.

Jennifer has experience as both a civil and criminal lawyer. That breadth of experience is important for a superior court judge. I think highly of her work and think she will make an outstanding judge.
