MS walkers, supporters deserve a big thank-you | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:

On behalf of the more than 80 islanders with MS and their families, our dedicated Walk MS committee, and the 28 team captains, thank you so much to the over 500 people who walked, volunteered and/or made donations to the 2012 Walk MS.

With this year’s $74,000, the Bainbridge Island walk site has raised $499,000 since 2007!

Which, with slight rounding, is a half million dollars for MS research and services. What a generous place we live!

Much appreciation to Pegasus, Bon Bon Confections, B.I. Barbeque, Island Fitness, AmericanWest Bank, Integrated Wellness Center, Safeway, Town & Country Market and the Bainbridge High School cheerleaders.

And, of course, our wonderful community sponsors: Ihland Garden Dental Care, Island Health & Rehab Center, Virginia Mason Winslow Clinic, GCC Technologies, Island Ambiance, the Icon Group, the Kitsap Sun and the Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce.
