This St. Patty’s Day come celebrate “Small, Island Big Green” with RePower!

Thinking it might be time to revisit your downtown? This St. Patrick’s Day, Winslow retailers are giving islanders 28 reasons to shop local.

In celebration of its one-year anniversary, RePower Bainbridge is partnering with 28 downtown Winslow businesses to offer island residents who sign up for RePower Bainbridge’s free home energy check-up a special, one-day only 15 percent discount.

RePower Bainbridge hopes to thank residents who have already participated in their program by throwing a big, green birthday party downtown. The anniversary event, called “Small Island, Big Green” will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 17 along Winslow Way. There will be a variety of fun activities for kids of all ages including a free Superhero photo booth and a RePower “Green Zone,” featuring fun games hosted by BIFC, including a soccer ball juggling competition, penalty kick games, and more! There will also be an hourly drawing for a chance to win free Sounders tickets.

For those island residents who may have missed out on their free home energy check-up during RePower’s first year, there will be an opportunity during the downtown celebration to sign-up for a free check-up and receive a RePower Big Green Card to cash in on special merchant discounts. To find participating merchants listed on the Big Green Card, look for a specially decorated shamrock in the window of each participating retailer — a festive St. Paddy’s day touch created by young adults from The Stephens House.

Bainbridge Island Downtown Association is excited to be a partner along with RePower and our downtown merchants for this fun community event. We hope to see you wearin’ your green in downtown Winslow on March 17!
