Mayor's leadership led to 'right thinking action' | Letters | Dec. 9
December 5, 2011 · 4:57 PM
Something profound happened at the City Council meeting on Nov. 30 during consideration of Resolution No. 2011-26, amending the Ethics Code, AB11-017.
Mayor Hytopoulos led the council, and the public, through a highly charged atmosphere to the classical "right thinking" (open, clear and with goodwill) necessary to finding "right action" for the "public good."
A teachable moment embraced during, appropriately, the always messy terrain of ethical public discourse: politics as it is meant to be practice.
