Community event not for everyone | Letters | Sept. 23

I thought the Review supplied the perfect comment on this event by running the story in the print edition above a half-page advertisement for “Taste of Lynwood.”

That’s how you create a community event – invite the community and tell them about it in advance.

My son and I were in Winslow last Sunday morning (Sept. 11) as they were setting up tables. I asked what they were setting up for and the one-word reply was “dinner.”
