Quick response to stolen bike much appreciated | Letters | June 10

On Saturday, someone stole my bicycle from the Farmers’ Market area. I called 911 upon noticing it, and within minutes received a call from Officer David Portrey.

It seems he and Officer Michelle Vollmer spotted both it and another stolen bike on the way to the ferry, and had both bikes (and the thieves) in possession.

As one who bikes and walks most everywhere, I certainly appreciate that fast response from both 911 and officers Portrey and Vollmer.
