New BSF goal established as support continues Letters | June 10

The Bainbridge Schools Foundation would like to thank everyone who contributed to our hugely successful weekend of fundraising that included a car wash at the Chevron Station on Saturday and a Family Fun Fair at the BHS stadium on Sunday.
We were able to raise $20,600 in this combined effort.
We truly appreciate all of the support from local businesses, the Chevron Station, the BHS lacrosse teams that donated car wash equipment, BHS administrators and custodians who helped us organize the fun festival.
We also couldn’t have done without the countless numbers of moms, dads, kids, grandparents, community members who came together to plan, attend and support the events.
It was a monumental effort that came together in less than three weeks.
As a result of the overwhelming support for the Dollar-a-Day campaign, BSF has increased our pledge to fund school staff from $500,000 to $575,000 for the 2011-12 school year.
We now have until June 30 to save additional staff. If you haven’t already done so, you can donate to www.bainbridgeschoolsfoundation.org.
