Everyone should nag  to have it taken down

Kudos and thanks to Fritz Feiten for requesting (“No-turn-on-red sign needs to be removed,” March 4) removal of the no-turn-on-red sign at 305 and Madison.

It’s sad when a couple of people can impose their ideas on the rest of us without any valid reason. Seems not unlike the three stop signs and five speed limit changes in seven-tenths of a mile placed on Madison a couple of years ago.

A “few” residents felt it was dangerous, though the city said existing limits were correct and safe. Now the rest of us have to live with the “opinions” of the few.

Thanks also for taking the time to look into why the sign went up. If nagging will help get it removed I shall indeed nag and I encourage all my neighbors to nag as well.

The correct number to call is 360-357-2673 and speak with Mr. Steve Bennett.
