What will happen to Emmy’s Vege House? | Letters | March 11

I am very concerned about Emmy’s Vege House and what is being done to make sure her wonderful little business isn’t completely destroyed by the wave of “improvements and construction.”

She and her husband are no match to the machine that will encompass them. Is anyone paying attention to this gem we have on Bainbridge Island, and the potential problems Emmy may have?

I have seen in the past a total disregard for her business by minor construction on her corner [Winslow Way and Madison Avenue].

Crews come in, tear up the street or sidewalks and completely block all access to her stand.

I for one will not let this happen as I eat there three to five times a week and love the small-town feel of eating her food on the deck.

Please tell me, and her, that smarter minds have her well-being in mind and in the “plan.”
