Just before Christmas, 10 generous islanders made a huge difference to the Gentle Care residents of Messenger House.

Side by Side, an island institution for 15 years, didn’t hesitate for a moment when we invited them to sing for dementia patients.

While these talented, professional musicians enthusiastically sang Christmas carols, the residents clapped and sang and toe-tapped. It was hard to tell who was having more fun!

Many, many thanks to Side by Side. They understood that their gift of music was especially meaningful to this audience.
