I want to register my complaint with the headline in last Friday’s paper: “Bainbridge therapist shows light side of suicide.”

Given the recent national news of teenagers who have killed themselves, and citing the tragic statistics in your lead, and with all respect for the people I know on Bainbridge and elsewhere who have lost loved ones to suicide, I’m saddened that the Review would use such a tasteless headline.

I can’t speak for the content of the event or the process of the therapist, although I doubt your headline was a fair or reasonable representation. But surely our small-town newspaper can set the standard for compassion and sensitivity when it’s called for, as it was here.
