Neighbors should embrace group home | Letters | Oct. 8

Change is always scary, but also can be an opportunity. I would love to see the Whited Place neighbors embrace this family home for adult and handicapped with flowers, cookies and offers to read a newspaper to them. This is a non-invasive business that is really just an extended home for those whose care is beyond the scope of their family members.
I have known the Baileys the entire time they have lived here and believe them to be hard working, caring and ethical people. They have commuted to Auburn for years to stay involved with the residents in their other group home.
Their children are also part of the family approach to care. These are good people who fulfill a need for care of our handicapped and aging population.
