What in the world were the editors and publishers thinking when they put the horrific photo of the “zombie” on the front page of the Oct. 2 “What’s Up” section?

That photo was completely inappropriate for a newspaper entertainment section (unless it was a very different sort of newspaper). Bloody knives and zombies with bloody mouths do not make for fun family reading. Do I have to make sure the kids don’t open the Review before I do from now on?

What a perfect example of the paper’s decline. First we are reduced from twice a week to weekly with the promise of more “in depth” news (cutting in half the agreed number of issues in my pre-paid subscription).

Now “news” is reduced to rehashing the same three political stories over and over, local press releases, and sports. What a deal.

Now I have to worry that my 4-year-old will be traumatized by the entertainment section? I am disappointed and disgusted.
