Island people may be the same as people all over the world, but after living here 48 years it seems to me they are a finer cut than most.

Last Thursday I bought four $50 gift cards for my daughters for Mother’s Day at Safeway.

When I put my groceries in my truck, with my thoughts on how I miss that big old Buddy dog, I must have dropped the bag with the $200 worth of gift cards.

The next day Safeway had not found them. Saturday my son, Cris, inquired at the store and, Glory Be, some honest heart had found and returned them.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! You didn’t leave your name, but hopefully you will see this and know how much your honesty is appreciated.
