Longtime Bainbridge Island resident Shirlee Clementz died March 29, 2017. She was 93 years old. She was born in Seattle, Washington on Feb. 11, 1924 to parents John and Helen Kutz. She graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1942 and married Ben Clementz in 1943. She had three children, Mike (Pat) of Indianola, Chris of Sun City, Arizona and Dan Clementz of Kingston. She leaves behind seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren plus numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind one brother Alan (Marilyn) Kutz of Kingston and two sisters in law Marilyn and Helen Kutz. Shirlee worked in various positions on Bainbridge Island including Standard Oil and the Island Bazaar. She did not miss many of her kids sporting events. She will be cremated. She requested no services. Later the family will get together and have a family reunion and bury the ashes of both Ben and Shirlee in the family plot at Port Blakey Cemetery.
