Brittany passed away after a courageous respiratory battle on May 18, 2017.
Brittany grew up on Bainbridge Island and lived a happy life well beyond everyone’s expectations. She glowingly attended all levels of special education through the Bainbridge Island School District, and graduated in 2000. Brittany then became a founding participant of the Bainbridge Island Special Needs Foundation’s program for adults with disabilities at the Stevens House.
Family, Friends and Music were Brittany’s delight. People put a smile on her face, and she and our family are eternally grateful for the love and kindness bestowed on her by so many each and every day. Brittany also enjoyed swimming, outings with her friends, sleepovers w/sissy, dinner dates and holidays with loved ones.
Brittany is survived by her mother Lyn Deits, father Paul Deits and wife Jane, brother Brett Deits and wife Lara, sister Bryana Deits and husband Angelo Ritualo, two nieces Samara and Ava, and three nephews Hayden, Henry and Taylor.
The family would especially like to recognize the contributions of long term caregivers Chris Power, Dannette Stenerson, and Mary Macfarlane.
Those wishing to donate in honor of Brittany may do so to Bainbridge Island Special Needs Foundation at 191 Winslow Way West, Bainbridge Island, Washington 98110.
Please join us in a celebration of Brittany’s life at her home at 4pm Saturday, June 17.
