Benjamin Franklin Edwards, Jr.

Benjamin Franklin Edwards Jr. died on May 11 in West Linn, Ore. He was 91.

Benjamin was born on Oct. 28, 1918, in Pontiac, Ill. to Benjamin Franklin and Mary Ellen (Rowan) Edwards. He married Ruth DeLany on June 30, 1945, in Chicago.

Ben enjoyed gardening, hunting, woodworking and traveling. He was a life time member of the Manila, Elks and was a member of the American ex-Prisoners of War organization.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth in 2002.

He is survived by his daughter, Ann Macdonell of Mission, B.C.; son, Benjamin F. Edwards III of West Linn, Ore., and grandchildren Amy, Genevieve, Ben, Jim and Angus.

A funeral Mass was held May 17 in Tualatin, Ore. Burial will be in the Pontiac Southside Cemetery, Pontiac, Ill.
