Weekend weather report: Wet but warmer | The Bainbridge Blab

Bainbridge Island will have another rain-soaked weekend, but Saturday will be a little warmer than usual, according to the latest forecast for the island from the National Weather Service in Seattle.

Rain is expected Saturday by 10 a.m., and the high temperature is expected to peak near 51 degrees later in the day.

Forecasters say to expect some gusty weather, as well.

Winds from the south-southwest of 7 to 12 mph may increase to 13 to 18 mph in the morning, and winds could gust as high as 24 mph.

Rain is almost certain; the chance of precipitation is 90 percent. The chance of rain will drop to 50 percent Saturday night, and cloudy skies will give way to partly cloudy skies overnight, with a low temperature around 37.

On Sunday, there is a 30 percent chance of showers before 10 a.m. The day should be partly sunny, with a high near 44.

Skies will turn partly cloudy overnight, with a low around 34.

At the start of the week, sunny weather is in the forecast, though clouds will return for New Year’s Day, with a slight chance of showers Tuesday night.

Rain remains in the forecast through the rest of the week.
