The weekend weather on Bainbridge Island is going to take a turn for the better, according to the latest forecast for the island from the National Weather Service in Seattle.

Saturday’s weather is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high temperature near 44 degrees.

Saturday night, look for cloudy skies to return, with a low around 33.

The sunshine is coming back, though, with mostly sunny skies on Sunday and a high near 41.

New Year’s Day will be a little warmer, with partly sunny skies and a high near 43.

The rest of the week is a mixed bag.

There will be a slight chance of showers on Tuesday, with the weather turning partly sunny until late Wednesday.

A slight chance of rain is forecast for Thursday. Otherwise, expect a partly sunny day, with a high near 44.
