Hey hey, the gray is here to stay.

Gray skies and rainy weather will continue into the weekend on Bainbridge Island, according to the latest forecast for the island from the National Weather Service in Seattle.

Forecasters report a 40 percent chance of rain Saturday. It will stay cloudy, with a high temperature struggling to hit 43 degrees.

Overnight Saturday, Islanders can expect some rain — new precipitation will total between a tenth and quarter of an inch — and the low will be around 40.

On Sunday, showers are expected after 10 a.m. (the chance of precipitation is 80 percent). The high temperature will be near 48 degrees, and more showers are expected overnight.

The new week will being with rain showers on Monday, then Tuesday, then Wednesday.

Thursday is expected to be mostly sunny.
