Which won’t be long.

That’s the latest forecast for Bainbridge Island from the National Weather Service in Seattle.

Weather on the island on Saturday includes a chance of rain before 11 a.m., then a slight chance of showers after 11 a.m.

On the bright side, cloudy skies should gradually become mostly sunny, with a high temperature reaching near 73 degrees. (The chance of precipitation is 30 percent.)

Sunday will be a big improvement over Saturday.

It will be mostly sunny, with a high near 77. Skies will remain mostly clear overnight, with a low around 55.

Next week, sunshine is in the forecast before a chance of showers return Thursday.

It’s a slight chance, though, as the weather on Bainbridge is expected to stay mostly sunny, with a highs in the mid 70s, through the end of the week.
