Weekend weather report: Same old story | The Bainbridge Blab

Rain. Rain. Rain.

That’s what’s in store for Bainbridge Island this weekend — and beyond — according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Seattle.

While Saturday morning will have a slight chance of rain before 11 a.m., showers are more certain for the rest of the weekend.

Saturday has a 30 percent chance of precipitation, but those odds will continue to rise as the day goes on and nighttime approaches.

The day is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a high temperature near 47 degrees. Friday’s strong winds through the region will temper down to south/southeast winds of 6 to 8 mph on Saturday.

After 11 p.m. Saturday, more rain is likely. The thermometer will dip to a low around 41. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent overnight, and new precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch are possible.

On Sunday, the chance of rain is 90 percent. The high will be near 48.

More rain is in the forecast for Sunday night.

Rain remains in the offing for next week, with rain on Monday, turning to heavy rain Monday night, and staying that way through midweek.
