Washington State Ferris is advising riders on the Bainbridge Island-Seattle ferry route to expect heavy traffic Sunday, Sept. 17, before and after the Seattle Seahawks football game.

The Seahawks take on rival San Francisco 49ers at CenturyLink Field in a game that starts at 1:25 p.m.

Ferry officials said travelers should be prepared for long lines eastbound in the morning and westbound in the late afternoon. Passengers are being encouraged to pre-purchase their ferry tickets at any kiosk.
