Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island accepts community grant requests

The Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island is accepting grant applications from local nonprofit organizations for its 2019 community grants.

The application submittal period is from Oct. 1 through Nov. 15.

Rotary Community Grants fund capital equipment and items, which support nonprofit organizations that support the Bainbridge Island community, or the wider community of which Bainbridge Island is a part.

The Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island has a long and proud history of providing grants to support diverse community projects, dating back to the club’s founding in 1947. Members of the Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island are stewards of funds raised at their yearly Rotary Auction & Rummage Sale. The 2018 Rotary Auction & Rummage Sale provided funds for the 2019 community grants.

In the last seven years, the Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island has awarded 189 community grants totaling more than $847,000 to 85 local nonprofit organizations.
