Rotary accepts auction donations starting Friday

The Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island is holding the 58th annual Auction and Rummage Sale on Saturday, June 30, making this the prime time to clean closets, garages and storage areas.

Would-be donors can drop off little-used (but too good to throw away) treasures starting from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day beginning Friday, June 22 until Wednesday, June 27.

Volunteers will be on hand at Woodward Middle School (9125 Sportsman Club Road), to help unload your vehicle and give you a tax receipt for your donations.

According to the Rotary: “Proceeds from the Bainbridge Rotary Auction & Rummage Sale build island infrastructure such as parks and sports fields, dance floors and theater seats. The sale of your stuff also funds grants to other nonprofit organizations, provides college scholarships, drills wells in Uganda and provides sanitation equipment in Guatemala.”
