Citizens may see blue dye on vegetation along Bainbridge roadsides this week.

Crews with the Kitsap County noxious weed  program will be cutting flower heads and treating plants with a selective herbicide Thursday and Friday.

The herbicide, which targets broad leaf weeds, has blue dye mixed in, so citizens will be able to clearly see treated areas for up to

24 hours.

Per Bainbridge code, treated areas should not be entered until after the 24-hour period has passed.

Signs have been posted with information on the selected herbicide.
