Next film in series explores mass extinction

An eco-thriller on mass extinction is the next film in the “Movies That Matter” series.

“Racing Extinction” will be shown at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 2 at the Bainbridge Public Library.

The movie is described as an eco-thriller that examines humans’ role in mass extinction. Filmmaker Louie Psihoyos joins scientists, environmentalists, artists, and engineers to draw attention to this pressing issue.

A conversation with local experts will follow the movie. Phil Levin, lead scientist with the Nature Conservancy, and Jacques White, executive director of “Long Live the Kings,” will be special guests.
