Bainbridge parks officials will meet this week to approve park board officers and make committee assignments.

The board of the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4 at Strawberry Hill Center, 7666 NE High School Road.

Also at the next meeting, the newest member of the parks board will be sworn into office. Michael Pollock was elected in November to Position 5 and a six-year term on the board of commissioners.

Commissioners will also have a training session on open government.
