Bainbridge parks officials are scheduled to accept the resignation of Bainbridge Parks Commissioner Lee Cross at their meeting next week.

The board of the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 7 at Strawberry Hill Center, 7666 NE High School Road.

The board is then expected to appoint a new commissioner to the position and administer the oath of office.

Park commissioners will also consider a proposal to convert tennis courts at Battle Point Park to pickleball courts.
