Local lawmakers to talk at forum

“Our Washington Legislature” is the next topic in Kitsap Aware’s forum series on Justice and Citizenship.

The next session is 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2 at the Poulsbo Library. The public is invited to come meet north Kitsap County legislators in person, hear from them what committees they will be serving on during the upcoming session, what their priorities are, and how to best communicate with them during the busy legislative session.

The forum will include time for citizens to share concerns and talk to their legislators about what matters to them.

Moderator, Jeri Costa, a former member of Washington State House of Representatives and Senate, will serve as moderator.

During the first hour of the meeting, lawmakers will give updates on their goals for the upcoming session. A question-and-answer period will follow.

The series is sponsored by North Kitsap Indivisible, Resisterhood360, Bainbridge Island Indivisible, and the Kitsap Progressive Action Network.
