Listening tour planned for senior center

The Bainbridge Island Senior Center is hosting a series of informational/listening sessions about the center’s plans for the future.

Four meetings are planned in September, and senior center officials want input about how residents would like to see the center evolve over the next several years.

Suggestions are welcome on the programs and services that residents feel will be most valuable for the center to offer in the future.

The meetings have been scheduled so that community members can choose the session that is most convenient to attend.

The sessions will take place:

10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11 at Bethany Lutheran Church (7968 Finch Road NE);

3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13 at Eagle Harbor Congregational Church (105 Winslow Way West);

1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 at Island Volunteer Caregivers (147 Finch Place SW, Suite 4); and

7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 at the Bainbridge Island Senior Center (370 Brien Ave. SE).

Reservations are not necessary, but islanders planning to attend a session can send an email to board@biseniorcenter.org so senior center officials can plan seating and refreshments.
