A walker and his two dogs enjoy the sunshine at Battle Point Park on Wednesday.

Bainbridge Island was awash in sunshine early this week and Islanders were making the most of it at the popular park, from dog walkers to kids racing around the pump track to disc golfers.

Bainbridge Island, and much of Western Washington, will return to its regularly scheduled winter weather on Thursday — with increasing clouds and rain forecast through the weekend.
