DEVELOPING | Police responding to responding to reports of gun near school

Bainbridge Island police are responding to island schools after a person with a gun was reported near a gym shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday.

Multiple police units were called from off-island to help respond to Bainbridge schools.

Officers were fanning out across the island and checking numerous schools for a possible subject.

No problems were found by officers at Woodward, Ordway or Sakai schools.
