Councilman Joe Deets will continue to serve as Bainbridge Island’s deputy mayor.
The city council agreed to keep Deets in the post through the end of December.
Council members also agreed with a suggestion by Mayor Kol Medina to expand the term for the deputy mayor’s post to six months going forward.
