It’s time to say farewell.

The Bainbridge Island community is invited to walk the halls of Captain Johnston Blakely Elementary for the last time before the building is demolished this summer.

The Goodbye Blakely Open House will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 7 at the old school. Islanders are welcome to come walk through Blakely’s halls one last time, write a goodbye or gratitude message to the old Blakely, look at class photos from 1969-present, and hear current Blakely students sing an original “Goodbye to Blakely” song.
