Bainbridge VIPs to meet this week

Bainbridge Island Visually Impaired Persons Support Group will welcome a guest speaker from the Kitsap County Division of Aging & Long Term Care at the group’s meeting this week.

Jennifer Calvin Myers, of Kitsap County Division of Aging & Long Term Care, as well as a rep for SHIBA, will talk about what county and state agencies can do for the visually impaired. She is also a representative for SHIBA (Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors), a part of the insurance commissioner’s consumer protection services that provides free, unbiased and confidential assistance with Medicare and health care choices.

The meeting will also include assistance for members who have questions about their VIP apps.

Bainbridge Island Visually Impaired Persons Support Group meets from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 13 at the Bainbridge Public Library.
