Bainbridge school district launches survey as part of plan update

The Bainbridge Island School District is looking for public comment as it update its District Improvement Plan.

The District Improvement Plan helps set long-term goals for public schools on Bainbridge. Part of the planning process is to learn from members of the community, officials said, and the public is invited to share its opinions. Which focus areas should the district should prioritize? What should be the district’s core values? These and additional questions are in a brief survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/bisd303.

The goal of the survey is to receive thoughtful feedback from students, staff, parents and community members — regardless if they have a student currently enrolled in Bainbridge public schools.

District officials said input from the public is valuable to help guide and shape the district’s efforts.

The survey takes about five minutes to complete and is open through June 30.
