Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 25

8:31 a.m. Police were called to the scene of a two-car collision at the intersection of Koura Road and Meadowmeer Circle.

A 42-year-old Bainbridge Island woman, driving a 2007 Hyundai Elantra, had slowed to allow a pedestrian to cross at the western side of the intersection, when a 38-year-old Bainbridge Island woman, driving a 2016 Nissan Rogue, struck the rear of her vehicle, unable to stop in time.

There were no reported injuries. Both cars were towed away from the scene.

3:09 p.m. A 74-year-old Bainbridge Island man reported his wallet had been stolen from his pants while he was at the gym.

He later called to inform police he’d found his wallet in his car and it had not been stolen after all.
