Bainbridge blotter | Too loud, too early

Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

SUNDAY, MAY 6

7:13 a.m. Police were summoned to a heated argument between a father and his adult son in the area near Winslow.

The man told police they’d argued about his son’s playing loud music early in the morning. When he threatened to call police, his son left on foot.

The man said his son has no place else to go, that he most likely has mental health issues — though he refused to seek help or treatment and had thus not officially been diagnosed — and was dependent on his father for help with his own children.

The man said he expected police would be called to their house again before long.

Police noted the man’s son has numerous recorded involvements with them for previous instances of domestic violence, malicious mischief and also assault.
