Bainbridge blotter | Think of the children

Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

TUESDAY, MAY 22

7:24 a.m. A 34-year-old Bainbridge woman was cited for allegedly passing a school bus while it was stopped to let children off.

The woman ignored the bus’ stop sign while the bus was parked near the intersection of Fletcher Bay Road and New Brooklyn Road.

The bus driver noted the make/model of the car and the license plate number, which was traced to the island woman. Her license photo matched the description given by the bus driver, and she was mailed a citation for passing the bus.
