11:30 a.m. A 58-year-old Bainbridge Island man reported an incidence of identity theft.

The man had been called by his credit card company, he said, to report someone checking his credit score several days before. He contacted his credit security company and they confirmed someone had accessed his credit score using his Social Security number and birth date.

The man had no suspects in mind and needed a case number for his credit card company’s report.

A report was filed.

SATURDAY, FEB. 16

12:38 p.m. A diesel fuel truck was exiting a private driveway near Reitan Road after making a delivery when the driver ran over a blue air vent pipe that led to the water main of a communal neighborhood well. The main malfunctioned and began releasing water into the neighborhood. It sustained obvious damage, police said, and would require expert repairs.

The truck was not damaged.

There were no injuries.
