Bainbridge blotter | Citizen sleuth

Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

TUESDAY, MARCH 12

9:01 a.m. A 57-year-old Bainbridge Island man called police to report the possible theft of several mail parcels that were supposed to have been delivered. He believed that they had not indicated they’d been stolen.

About 45 minutes later he called again to say he’d found the packages. They had been delivered to a neighboring house incorrectly.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13

4:13 p.m. A series of small swastikas were found painted onto the “EHC” fence near the waterfront trail to the beach. A citizen reported them, after having taken pictures of the graffiti and cleaned them off. The marks appeared to have been made with shoe polish and there was no damage to the fence.

There are no suspects.
