Bainbridge blotter | DUI on the 305

Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

SUNDAY, MARCH 10

3:20 a.m. A 38-year-old Hansville woman was arrested for driving under the influence.

She was spotted driving erratically while going north on Highway 305, consistently crossing both the yellow and white lines on the road.

She was stopped at the Agate Pass Bridge.

Upon speaking with the woman, police noted the smell of alcoholic beverages about her. When asked, she denied having had anything to drink that night, saying she was only going home having just finished working a shift at a Winslow bar/restaurant.

Asked again if she’d had anything to drink, the woman said no.

She agreed to a field sobriety test, at which she did very poorly. She consented to a breathalyzer test and blew a .161.

She was arrested.
