Bainbridge blotter | $500 donuts

Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

FRIDAY, MARCH 2

2:59 p.m. Police were called to Battle Point Park to investigate a report of someone driving recklessly.

A parks department employee showed police tire tracks where, he said, a Volvo station wagon had been doing donuts in a gravel parking lot.

The estimated cost to have the gravel replaced is $500.

Surveillance video shows the car driving in circles in the parking lot, and also captured a partial license plate number. The driver could not be seen in the video.

A similar car with a matching license number was registered to an address on Bainbridge Island, and police made plans to speak with the owner.

A report was filed.
