Art at the start | Photo of the day 7.28

Artist Brooke Borcherding starts a painting of the Harbour Marina during the Artist’s Insight program Saturday at The Art Project in Winslow.

The program — 12:30 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month at the gallery — features visiting artists who demonstrate their craft and talk about their process and inspiration.

Borcherding is a 2018 Carmel Art Festival winner. Her paintings are nationally and internationally collected and are displayed at galleries in Washington, Oregon, California, Utah, Colorado and Maine.
